Let’s talk about BC travel.
James Douglas, The Father of British Columbia, described Vancouver Island as “a perfect Eden” when he encountered it in 1842. Not much has changed since. BC is still a natural paradise that attracts roughly 15 million tourists annually. They’re after the Rocky Mountains, coastal rainforest, white-sand beaches, and a feeling of serenity that comes from connecting with nature. But there’s a lot more to BC than these illustrious attractions.
The province is full of hidden gems that don’t get enough publicity. Through articles and blogs, I’ve been guiding travellers off the beaten path of this wondrous province since moving here in 2015. Follow my recommendations, and I guarantee BC will leave as deep an impression on you as it did on James Douglas 175 years ago.
